If you have Windows 7 or later and find that you are unable to connect to your network, you may need to turn off the “Automatically Detect Settings” setting. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open the Control Panel
- Click Network and Internet section
- Click on Internet Options
- Select the Connections tab
- Click the LAN Settings button
- Uncheck Automatically detect settings
- Click OK and then OK again.
- You may need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
