Nextiva Contact Center: Area Code

The Area Code object is used to save specific phone prefixes for use in Nextiva. It is mostly used for American and Canadian phone numbers but can be configured for other countries as well. Area codes are saved in the Region object that uses them to apply different rules to outbound dialing.

Field Name 

Description 

Name 

The area code name. It should represent the code in string format. 

Description 

A description of the area code. 

Area Code 

The area code of the number.  

Prefix 

The area code-specific prefix of the numbers. 

State 

A two-letter representation of the state. E.g., CA for California. 

Country 

The country that this area code belongs to. 

Timezone Offset 

Integer time zone offset (From GMT). 

Daylight Savings 

Toggle on to apply Daylight saving to this area code.
