Updating the emergency location aka E911 address

The emergency location (E911) is the address that the emergency dispatcher sees in the event the user places an emergency call. If users work remotely, it’s recommended to enter the user’s home address as the user’s emergency location. 

Choose the image that looks most like your screen once logged in.

Updating the E911 address for a location

From the NextOS admin dashboard, select Communication > Phone System > Voice Overview > Manage Locations > Locations.

 

 

Hover over the location and select Edit Location

(Admin only) From the NextOS admin dashboard, select Users > Actions > Voice Settings > Emergency Location

(User only) From the NextOS user home page, select Voice > Emergency Location.

The E911 address can only be modified for the user if they have a primary phone number. Otherwise, the location’s E911 address and phone number will be used.

From the NextOS dashboard, select Voice > Users > Manage Users. Select the user and click E911 Address
