Admin FAQs
How do I enable texting for a user?
By default text messaging is automatically disabled when creating new users and must be enabled by an administrator. For more information, click here.
Does it support end-to-end encryption?
Yes, we have end-to-end encryption for SMS and MMS.
How do I access logs?

How do I view usage charges?
Costs for SMS/MMS are bundled within the Nextiva cloud communications package prices.
How do I opt out of Nextiva texting and use a third-party provider?
Customers who opt out of Nextiva SMS/MMS won’t be able to integrate a third-party provider’s SMS solution inside the Nextiva Mobile App.

How do I send images?

Can I send video files?
Yes, you can send .mp3, .wav, and .mp4 files directly from the Nextiva Mobile App. See this support article for more information.
Can I send and receive texts from the Nextiva Desktop App (NextivaONE)?

Can I send or receive messages to/from SMS shortcodes?
Not at this time, but we are working to enable this feature in the future.
Which phone numbers can I use to send and receive texts?
You can use U.S. direct phone numbers assigned to you.
Can I send an SMS or MMS to a group?
You can send an SMS message to up to 10 numbers. You can send an MMS to up to 10 numbers.
Can I use my toll-free numbers for texting?
Not at this time, but we are working to enable this feature in the future.
Can I send a text to an international number?
Not at this time, but we are working to enable this feature in the future.
