What Does “Number Not Eligible to Port” Mean?

Number not eligible to port/rejection is the denial of a port request issued by the losing provider or carrier. There are specific reasons to reject a port allowed by the FCC.

Here is a list of some of some common rejection reasons:

  • Incorrect service address
  • Non-authorized signer
  • Open orders on your account
  • Incorrect billing telephone number
  • Outstanding balances or contract terms

When in doubt, request a Customer Service Record (CSR) from your current provider.
