What is a Call Announcement?

A call announcement is an audio file that plays before the called phone begins ringing.

The message plays in its entirety and then ringing or a ringback tone plays until the call is answered.

This feature ensures a caller has the opportunity to hear the message, even if it is answered on the first ring. A pre-alerting announcement can be used to comply with state laws for recorded calls.
